Win a day's Driven Grouse Shooting for 9
We are delighted to again offer the prize of an exhilarating day in pursuit of driven red grouse, the “King” of game birds. Don't miss this chance for you and eight friends to enjoy an unforgettable experience on Roxburghe Estates in the Lammermuirs, one of the finest estates in Scotland.
Tickets £40 per book of 20 - Closes midnight 11 December 2019.
The Roxburghe moors of Byrecleugh and Rawburn are situated in the heart of the Lammermuir Hills and have been in the Duke of Roxburghe’s family since the 1500s. Covering over 10,000 acres, both moors are amongst the most productive and consistent in Scotland and offer a range of topography that produce fast, sporting birds to test even the best of shots.
In 2018, Roxburghe Estates were presented with the national Wildlife Estates accreditation from Scottish Land and Estates, recognising their outstanding work on wildlife, habitat and conservation management. The award is made following a rigorous accreditation process, which demonstrates that the estate is observing best practice in its management regime. Recent conservation projects undertaken include a five-year programme to enhance biodiversity and habitat on moorland at Byrecleugh and Rawburn, benefiting birds such as curlew, lapwing and snipe and in particular, black grouse.
The draw will take place on 18th December 2019 - entries close at midnight on 11th December 2019.
Proceeds of the Draw will help support the work of the Trust, helping us achieve our objectives.
The prize-winning shoot day will be taken during the last two weeks of September in the 2020 grouse season. Confirmation of the day, will depend on the 2020 grouse counts, with the day agreed by prior arrangement with the Estate. If grouse stocks don’t allow shooting, the day will be carried forward to the following season.
