Vibrant wildlife art helping to banish New Year blues

January is widely regarded as the gloomiest month of the year. The festive period becomes a distant memory as soon as it ends and life returns to normal, devoid of much colour with days bookended by darkness.

So it was a pleasant surprise when wildlife artist Ben Waddams emailed us out of the blue to ask whether we would be interested in selling his work through our online shop. Ben’s beautiful, colourful painting of red leg partridges was duly added to the shop and sold within two days – the perfect pick-me-up to help ease the New Year blues.

Encouraged by this early success, we decided to write a blog asking other wildlife artists whether they too would like to showcase their work through the GWCT. Our blog generated plenty of interest and we now have over 20 original paintings, drawings and photographs available, all featuring gamebirds, working dogs and other wildlife.

Why not brighten up your walls with some fresh new artwork for 2020 – you can see what we have for sale right here.
